The food smells soooooooooooooooooo good.... Hahahaha. The chicken rice is definitely worth it and is a must try. The staff are nice and polite although the drinks are a little pricy. Definitely a must try if you are having dinner in centerpoint
Living in Petaling Jaya, it has spoilt me for choices in terms of food. With so many places to go for food, Centrepoint is just one place to start with. Whenever I want something local and a little more fancy than the food court, I would head to Gerai the Food Loft. Gerai has been around for the last 5 years and recently they had a new facelift and a new menu. I'd say their chicken rice is their top seller. At the same time, it is really good. It is better than the one sold in the food court! Other than that, the butter chicken and rice is another meal that is worth trying. Their portion is just decent for the price you pay. Additional, they do serve tong sui everyday. Just ask them what are they serving and be surprise.
Upon entering, Gerai looks like an olden day teh tarik shop. Being a huge Queen fan, the mural of Freddie Mercury, Charlie Chaplin and Marilyn Monroe on one of the walls is what made me fall in love with the décor of this place. The second floor however, is something else completely. It looks like a modern hipster café that teens love so much. Though the two floors look entirely different from each other, the great quality of their food remains the same. They serve an extensive range of Asian fusion food. I like the fact that they state the amount of time required to prepare the dishes in the menu so that if you don't want to wait too long, you can choose something that can be prepared quicker. I tried the Butter Chicken Fried Rice and loved it. Just the smell of the dish is divine. The chicken is so soft and easy to cut through. Every element of the dish is so flavourful, it was like a treat to my tastebuds. As mentioned earlier, the second floor is more of a café. The staff on this floor seem a bit more attentive and friendlier than those on the first floor. The furniture is very minimalistic. The lighting creates a warm, homely atmosphere. It's a nice, quiet place to hangout with friends. The wifi didn't work very well, but it didn't affect my overall experience. I would definitely go back again.
